Anytime the battery loses power you have to do the throttle initialization.

Insert key & turn to ignition switch position 2 (power on but not engaging starter)
Leave key in this position for 1 minute & do not touch gas pedal.
After 1 minute turn key back to off position but do not remove for at least 10 seconds.
Now you have set the E-gas throttle position & you can start the car. It should idle much better & have better throttle response.
