AOS is one year old

When looking for broken hoses, etc, I noticed the AOS hose connection to the throttle body was not tight- it easily pulled off, which killed the motor. Could a less than airtight hose connection on the throttle body from the AOS cause a rough idle? I press on it firmly against the body and it seems to make no diff, but pulling it off sure does.

Of course disconnecting it will cause the motor to quit. You just created a giant vacuum leak.

Edit

This tube uses a o-ring to seal as long as the hose is on, it is air tight.

However it should not easily pull off. If it does, replace with a new hose.
