My first impression is you were likely "speed shifting". I see this all the time instructing and harp on my students to slow down and be certain to pick the correct gear. Unless you are Pat Long or someone that gets paid to drive fast, why risk your car?

Even in modern P-Cars (I was raised on 911 915 trannys), I teach my students that shifting is a two step process...nuetral, gear.

Hope your car is Ok, but I would take up Jake's advise.
