Jaay - are these coming out of a brembo caliper or aftermarket?
Believe it or not but for performance (motorcycle) racing we only use phenolic made pistons (yes, plastic). Cuts the heat (cooler fluid) by more than half. If you track your car and the type of guy gaining those mil/secs with hard braking techniques... you might want to have a look in those. Although they are not popular within the 'general' population... phenolic pistons is what is being used on each and every MOTOGP prototypes. Heard once or more this is also what they fit F1s but I've never really bothered to confirm this.
