Each to his or her own I guess, but the old aircooled cars get under one's skin. Certainly has in my case, the noise, the classic 911 form, the raw driving experience. I love my Boxster S, but this is a different animal. Not to mention a boyhood dream.

I didn't mean to spoil it for you. My major complaint with it was the lack of air conditioning. Down here, that's a major deal. Maybe where you are, it's no bigs. Hubby, who drove that one the most, did like it a lot. It
is a real driving machine.
Did decide to keep the Box, mostly because it's been convertible season again, and I love that. Also, I went to look at other cars and there's just nothing to replace it with, not even the new Jags, IMHO. So, there really is no substitute.
Drive your classic, enjoy it, I'm sure you'll love it, it's a beautiful car.
