If you are getting any sort of signal, I'd say your amp is most likely ok.
Easy stuff to troubleshoot.

1. Remove both speakers and swap. This step will isolate either a bad speaker or bad signal coming to the speaker. Inspect each speaker for a worn out foam surround. Don't be surprised if the foam is mostly missing.

This is a good time to buy new dash speakers! You'll be plesantly surprised what a difference new aftermarket speakers will make. Best thing is, you can find good choices for $35 and up! I updated mine with Polk speakers from Crutchfield last winter ($40 incl. shipping). They sound so much better than stock.
