Yeah, in the OP I mentioned using
Gummi Pflege Stift which is designed specifically for the rubber weather seals - many users have reported the seals puff up and expand back to their original size after using the product. I didn't see any change myself, the seals appear to be in excellent condition already.
Any other thoughts? I looked into the center latch but didn't see any tension adjustments.
