The wire reached because I was missing a wire harness standoff /clamp that allowed it to reach. Now that the standoff and clamp are properly installed, it would not reach. Being a newbie, I'm stll leaning, and on the positive side, I've learned a lot! So far no mystery bolts or parts (thanks in part to this forum). If I ever get the clutch alignement tool I ordered in late December (with 2 day shipping) , I can re-install the transmission and transaxle and fire it up
