Wow, that's the worst flat spot I have ever seen. Sorry for your loss.
I have had occasional minor lock-up when running Pagid RS-14 pads, which seem to have so much bite that they fool the ABS, or the ABS just can't react fast enough.
At least you didn't go into "ice mode".
