Exclamation WANING Plasti-dip users

DO NOT USE WARM WATER ON ANY PLASTI-DIPPED ITEM!

went to just hose off the ole box today at the local wand wash. nothing I havent done before, yet i noticed the wand was getting quite toasty in my hands but thought it would only help "cut" grease better... from about 1 foot away I hit my several coated and gloss coated black rims, and instantly it bubbled off! to make things worse after getting home i inspected the damage and all the wheels are "shedding."

so if you live in a place that "winterizes" the car wash to keep them open year round do not use hot water on plasti-dip. I was bare handed and holding the metal wand so it wasnt scorching hot, but enough to de laminate the wheel paint.

plus side; easy way to remove the stuff haha and now i get to paint my rims Anthracite

for the those that care, I would 303 protect them bi monthly, so it wasnt uv damage.
