Sorry, that seems way too unstable for my tastes. The first side might be ok, but then lifting high in the rear to get that second side up on the stands would give me the willies. Further, it would be a tedious task to adjust the heigth of the stands once the car was on them - again, you are creating an unstable situation. The liftbars take minutes to lift the car with, couldn't be simpler or safer. Anyway, ymmv, but that's my experience for what it's worth.
