Called my plumber and he was able to gat a channel lock type wrench on it and break it loose without damaging the filter housing.
Next project...attack the rear suspension in hopes of eliminating "clunking" noise.

There is an oil filter wrench for a Dodge? I believe that fits perfectly. I am not at home right now to see the exact model, but maybe someone else can chime in. I bought mine at Pep Boys for less than 5 bucks if I remember correctly. It works great!
