Now if only Mobil sold a 10W40 or 15W50 Extended Performance Mobil 1.
I've got just over 191,000 miles on my 1999 Boxster (no worries, no oil consumption between changes every 10,000 miles, no IMS issues...Knock on Wood).

Also from Austin area (Round Rock) - good to know. I don't know if putting the high mileage versions would be good or not. I thought they were meant to help stop leaks? I would put in my older Jeep and beater Grand Prix, but I would probably stick with the Porsche recommendation on oil weight. I've used 0W40 on my BMW for 7 years with no problem and last summer was HOT!!!

I've never had to jump to 50 weight...

I saw another (darker color) boxer at a light yesterday - wonder if that was you
