I have the TopSpeed Muffler and test pipes, but otherwise stock headers. The catalytic convertors don't lessen the sound as much as the muffler. Have you tried test pipes and stock muffler? It would sound much sportier than stock and would probably be quiet enough for your taste without losing too much power. Remember, the stock muffler weighs in at 45 pounds compared to a 20 pound TS muffler. The stock muffler has an attic's worth of insulation in there!
