I removed my bumper / rads on purchase (60,000km) and cleaned out a heap of leaves, grass, insects, dead bird etc.
I now remove / clean every 15,000km or 2 years as normal bi-annual maintenance.
Remember to flush out the rads from behind to get rid of the accumulated grit and soil lodged in the actual radiator finning.
