I agree completely. There are no perfect tires that do everything well. Consider driving style carefully and choose a tire best suited for that use. For the OP, that might be PS2s, Super Sports, Hankook V12, Continental DW, Sumi HRTZ III.

Characteristics in common:

Good summer dry traction
Good wet traction
Quiet and comfy on the road
Reasonable tire wear
No good in snow or ice
