Guys, with all due respect, what the dealer is offering him is not a warranty per se. It is a Porsche Authorized Pre-owned Certification. It is a thorough car inspection and certification certificate which will extend the factory warranty of the vehicle through Porsche. I have it on my S and it is good through 8/2005. In my case it also included the 15,000 mile service and was done in the summer of 2003.

While an aftermarket warranty company may be good, they will never pay the rates of a Porsche dealer's labor and they will always look for aftermarket parts if available. If you want the car serviced by the dealer with genuine parts then you will find a huge gap between what these companies will pay and what your bill will be!
