Swapping out seat electrics and frame

I just installed a new set of seat in my 2000S. The old ones were basically just tired from lots of seat-time and the sun was not kind....

Problem is, the prettier low mileage new ones have some kind of corrosion down by the rails, and when installed, only the power back on the driver's side works. None of the other stuff works right -- the heaters were stuck "on" for driver's and "off" for passengers, etc....

Additionally, the gas shock that controls seat height adjustment appears to be bad. I saw the seats in the seller's car and was told "everything works fine", but caveat emptor is the name of the game....

Anyway, as I bought the seats to freshen up the Box for sale, I need EVERYTHING to work properly.

Is it possible to swap the actual frame/electrics from my old seats into the new ones?
