ha ha made another car payment
I took apart two struts! Was difficult to get the nut off (!) both of them- even broke a tool or 2. Picked up my fr carriers from mechanic with new bearings pressed in and the kit to repair the stripped caliper mount thread in one of them-all in $300. ( if only I had read that thread about the Casper wheel bearing removal tool sooner) Researched, located and ordered the remote clamping tool from Sears for the oil-fill tube job ($35 plus ship. - $48) . I spend more time researching, locating and buying parts/ tools than pulling on good 'ol fashioned wrenches!!! I need to drive that car again!
maybe I'll drive it without the bypass pipes and muffler!!hee hee cheap thrills what the hay, I'm 48 TODAY!!
