In 1997 my highly optioned 993 Turbo cost $120,000ish, plus a gas guzzler tax of a few more thousand, plus another $10,000 to grease the wheels at the dealership to get in line for the very limited production. Car & Driver got a sub 4 sec 0-60 out of it's 407 HP and 3,300 pounds.
So, we fast forward 17 years, and Porsche gives us a new benchmark, adds another 113 HP, makes it a little faster, and all this new technology, performance, and styling only cost another
$15-20,000 ........seems pretty equitable.
