Bought my year 2000 low mileage(60,000 miles) Box last year and the windscreen appears to be original. It's not perfect but about 90%.

I have always found that if scrubbed with a polyester/cotton blend towel with straight ammonia,the glass is super clean.I then use RainX as it does a good job of filling the microscopic imperfections and I try to remember to change blades every 9 months or so.

I have heard of pro glass shops using bronze wool to scrub off any surface scaling from chemical fallout or hard/high mineral content car wash water.
