I think this has been a very positive thread! Now that Porsche has released the low rate of failure (much less than 1%), I think Boxster owners of the 2000 and older double row bearing motors have very little to worry about
:dance:. I have a feeling that many motors from numerous manufactures have close to a 1% failure rate if not higher. I'm not going to give my IMS bearing a second thought until time for a new clutch
