WTF I assume you will be working close to West Hollywood, it is the homosexual capital of So.CA so if you are comfortable living in that environment you will have a short commute to work. I assume you will be going in & out of LAX alot & W.H. is about a 1.5 hour drive away so if you want PM me & I can recommend best location to setup camp. I would rent a car when you 1st land with navigation for a week or 2 so you don't have to rush to buy a car, also you need to see how secure your parking will be. Don't worry about car activities, the only problem in L.A. is choosing which you want to do. I would think a Brisbaner would want to be near the beach.
