Yes a bike lift/hoist works well to remove the top.
You can also get a wall mount for the hardtop.

I use the bike lift to remove the hardtop and place it on the wall mount.
Easy enough to do it by your self.
I wouldn't want to keep it or store it on the lift for long periods of time tho.
You'd need a wall mount for storage.
