Used Boxster Pricing Guide

For some reason, I tossed my September Excellence magazine on a pile of stuff next to my bedside table and didn't see this before. For those of you wondering what your boxster is worth, based on what Excellence found buyers paying (as opposed to valuation guides such as kelly blue book, etc.), here you go:

Sale prices of the Boxster for 2005, in US Dollars:
1997 Low-14290 High-21750
1998 Low-15210 High-23150
1999 Low-16819 High-25600
2000 Low-15021 High-22863
2001 Low-19069 High-29025
2002 Low-20351 High-30975
2003 Low-22757 High-34638

Sale prices of the Boxster S for 2005, in US Dollars:
2000 Low-21796 High-33175
2001 Low-22946 High-34935
2002 Low-24481 High-37263
2003 Low-27356 High-41638

I've got nearly $4k invested over the high value on my 97... glad I'm not planning to sell it

The article said that both 986's and 996's were selling very, very cheap these days because the poor economy has lots of sellers and few buyers, so it's a buyer's market. The article went on to give lots of facts and figures about our cars that was interesting to me considering I didn't know what enhancements had been made to our model Porsche since it was brought out in 1997. BTW, my 1997 was sold retail for $39,995 base price.
