Snorkel? That is for diving. Have you removed the snork PRIOR to installing the Cold Air Intake? I'm pretty sure it HAS to come off there!

Another option is to set it in the sun, apply WD-40 (one of its' many uses) and slide 'er in!

If that is not it, take a pic and post it….must be something peculiar.
