@Jaxonalden, I think I would do more damage if I left the hole open, would essentially be putting the snorkle back on, which is kinda defeating the purpose of the new intake. And I can't wait for the new music! I also installed a new sport exhaust, this thing should sound amazing! I see you hav ehte EVO on your car, any problems putting it in??

Snorkel? That is for diving. Have you removed the snork PRIOR to installing the Cold Air Intake? I'm pretty sure it HAS to come off there!
Another option is to set it in the sun, apply WD-40 (one of its' many uses) and slide 'er in!
If that is not it, take a pic and post it….must be something peculiar.
