it will tell you some things.

as long as your car is parked in your garage and has access to your home's WiFi connection.

however, if a thief breaks in and drives off (or an insolent teenager) all you will know is that it's not at home anymore. not where it is.

it also tells you if it was "bumped", got wet, on fire...

honestly, it would seem more sensible to hook a camera pointing towards the car and feed it to the web...
