another option may be to drop the front PU off the bumper/nose and get a long screwdriver under the lamp assembly to get on to the bar.

in effect the headlamp assembly is held in place by the cam action on the bar, if you can un-click that, the headlamp assembly should just slide out on the runners.

NB: i'm just throwing this out there an option as I have not tried it
