Sad story.

It reminds me of a time that I was nearly car jacked. This was before I had the Porsche and was driving an Australian sedan with wind-up windows. One of the would-be jackers put his arm inside my window to try and unlock the door so I wound it up tight on his arm at the elbow joint and put the car in reverse (they had blocked me at the front with their car) dragging him about 50 feet before letting him fall on the road. It was then a tough decision whether I ran him down or just drove off. It was a quiet street and rather late on a Friday night. I chose the latter, still not sure if it was the right decision or not. :-)

In terms of jealous vandals, we don't have so many incidents here. I live in a state that is very rich in iron ore and due to the China boom business is good. Even the majority of blue-collar workers have 6 figure incomes at the moment, so me driving a 12 year old Boxster S attracts more pity than envy. Seriously. If you don't believe me then check out this article from Wall Street Journal, I'll post the link below.
