I know what you mean...

after about 90 degrees I have no desire to put the top down. I routinely drive with the top down throughout the winter (my record is 44 degrees) though as the car is pretty tolerable with the windows up and the heater on. FWIW I used to drive my car as a DD year round and in the summer it would be incredibly hot inside especially with the black interior and roof. I always used the sun shades but they only do so much. I eventually bought one of the "pop top" convertible covers and it has been great. It does noticeably cool the interior and I frequently just leave the top down and use the pop top cover to keep the interior cool and out of the sun during the day.
