I too upgraded to an S and find the shifting notchier than my old car. I put in a B&M hoping that it will solve the problem, but it's actually stickier. I'm use to it now and does not bother me.

Having said that, I was in another S and felt that the shifter with the B&M was smoother and less effort than mine.

I dont' think it's the short shifter, but the original shift unit.
Anyone with any suggestions for adjustment?
