I don't think this is a fair test, because the younger generation can easily start affording the first generation 986 since they are in the $20's range. But something like 987 or the new one which is higher in price, is more or less acquired by the older generation due to their finance position in life. So essentially, the question should ask, if you own a 986 how old are u, or if u own a 987 how old are u etc... Because in reality getting into a boxster these days is pretty easy specially a base one.
