I didn't do the "986" because I couldn't find it in chrome, but did this with a Porsche badge. I measured meticulously and laid out a "frame" with masking tape. I set the letters in place carefully, stepped back, had a look, repositioned, looked, etc, til I felt I had it perfect. Looks flawless!
