The doors were previously carpet. Stripping that was not much fun. For anyone aspiring to loose that bit of carpet, neither heat, acetone, or MEK does anything but make a mess.
For all of the parts I did 3-4 coats of resin. The fist coat is a black resin, applied before the carbon fiber cloth is laid. That sets for about 3 hours, until it is tacky, then the fabric goes on. The first coat of clear I tried to keep light so it would soak in. I used a heat gun to keep it loose and get rid of any bubbles. By the "real" flood coat the cloth was already pretty sealed, so I was able to avoid pin holes.
