bar

Do a little internet research before committing to the bar. I have one, use it for my smallest, but am seriously contemplating no longer fastening the buckle to deactivate for my older child. Looks like if about 40-50 lbs and forward facing, may be better to have airbag deploy. But do you own research, b/c if something happens you will have to live with the idea that You made the best decision you could to protect your child. In any event, if child seat is still rear facing you ABSOLUTELY must deactivate airbag. And if you need to get a bar, you might ask your indie. Mine had several he had removed from other cars, offered me a good deal on one and threw in the reprogram of the cars computer (to recognize deactivation function) for free.
