Nah, I have to disagree with you. The French ARE a bunch of tools, but their cars are pretty good these days. I had the privilege of renting a Peugeot 407 last time I was over there and really enjoyed my Alps to Belgium round-trip. It was a very competent vehicle – great suspension and brakes. It was a bit underpowered, but hey, it is Europe, everything is over there due to the taxes– of course there are some exceptions, like the mid-mounted V8 Renault Clio – one of the most spectacular (and ridiculous) cars on the road, and also French…
