It sounds like it could be the RMS (Rear Main Seal)...or worse the IMS. From my reading it is usually the RMS. What's the year and mileage of your car. The RMS can ooze for years and drip. My car is a 2000 'S' and had the old style seal, you might have it too. Mine wasn't dripping but when I went in to replace the IMS I could see the RMS had oozed slightly.
