replaced mine last year. very little gasoline actually lost. hardest part was getting the new one back in place. just followed pedro's write up.

Replace the Fuel Filter

no smoking, stay away from open flames - the usual. keep the garage door open or do it outside. i actually went to my local ford quick lube place who has been cool enough to allow me to "rent" their lift for the few times i need the car up in the air.
