ONLY and ONLY if the paint is NOT cracked. Been there- and it hurt ! But it turned out OK ! They even painted under to match the inside of the trunk lid. A wine bottle accident , I hope, will be OK with the next owner. (Wrecked ? ) No, MY wife.
