Also, there are many levels of FIA standards. The most basic isn't that safe. Put it this way I think the factory seat would be much safer than a budget $300 MOMO or Cobra seat that bend like a Pepsi can around you. A truely safe racing seat is VERY expensive using Kevlar and other materials that you'll never find a budget seat. Point is what is safe on an autcross course or track is not necessarily safer than what you've already got in your car now. An Ebay Chinese seat definitely not.

The test conditions are available for every FIA approved seat. Google is your friend if you really want to know. Each seat Mfg will provide the info as well.
