Leather care

I recently bought a 1987 944S and the leather seats were in decent condition but they felt very dried out and on the verge of cracking. I've tried alot of other leather care products but thought I try something different this time. I went to a saddlery and got Belvoir glycerine soap and Leather Balsam. The soap cleans off the dirt and any other stuff you may have had on there. My leather was black and the rag I was using to clean was disgusting. Finally after the cleaning, I applied the leather balsam and after two applications, the leather looks amazing. they almost look new, and much softer. I was thinking of replacing the leather shift boot but after I applied the leather balsam it looks fantastic. I used this on black leather and I've read reviews from equestrians that this stuff makes the leather darker so I can't say if it will be safe to use on lighter colored leather but I'm very pleased with how they turned out on my seats.
