These pieces look like chain tensioner paddle wear pad (black) and vario cam wear pad (brown) fragments if they are plastic; I would make very sure they are plastic and not some strange gasket material. I would drop the oil sump cover to inspect for any debris sitting there. Do you have a cam shaft deviation reading from before you drained the oil? This may give you an idea about chain tensioner condition along with the ims bearing
From my limited experience in cutting open m96 filters, I m would say this more than normal wear and I personally would want to know the cause before continuing to run the engine. Perhaps the engine experts could chime in.
