As long as you have a decent set of stands, and not those tinney cheap ones, I don't see any problem. We used to run our cars back in our hot rod days, all the time when on stands. But we had the heavy duty garage style ones, not the cheap auto parts store variety. I have seen them run AA fuel dragsters and funny cars in the pits on stands, so I wouldn't worry about running a Boxster on them. Just make sure you do it on level ground. I have seen some idiots jack up their cars on slanted driveways. I wondered if they had any common sense at all.
