I thought you were talking about an aftermkt strip of LED lights per the OP's message not the OEM set up. That being said, there still might be a way (by the dealer using PIWIS system) to get yours to do what you want. There are a ton of 'hidden' features available. In my 997 I can turn on/off DRLs (though it does turn the rear one too) if I want to or not thru the PCM individual memory settings.
