No way to grease it.

Sadly... the transmission must come out and you may as well replace the clutch and the IMS bearing while you are in there. (see numerous threads on IMS on this board)

The throw out bearing allows the clutch to spin easily while the clutch is engaged (pedal pushed in) yours is making noise because the bearings are getting crunchy. When it fails catastrophically, metal will fly around inside the bell housing and could get in all kinds of places where you dont really want it to be.

Not going to kill you like blowing a flywheel on a drag car but not really anything you want to clean up after from a mechanical point of view. It is always easier and cheaper to fix it before it breaks than after.

I would take it to a good local shop or the local dealership, have them inspect it and do what they recommend.
