a lot about what approach you take to selling the parts or car affects the return you'll get.

You do the work, separate out all the parts, arrange shipping, advertise etc...the most $

Sell it to a person who specializes in parting out P-cars...less.

Sell it to someone who wants to put a rebuilt engine into it...who knows.

Another option is to talk to Jake and spend 6-7k or so for a checked out engine with about 6 of the most common problem parts replaced with non-Porsche "improved" parts (including the IMS). He calls it a cpo program.

Depending on the damage to yours, he might even buy your old engine for parts.
