Getting My 2.7 Rebuilt with L/N IMS upgrade

Well a few weeks back I saw the dreaded cloud of smoke in my rearview mirror and noticed the oil lamp warning light flash. Needless to say I was optimistic that it was just the AOS but unfortunately it wasn't. Turned out it was the 5th and 6th Cylinders and few other technical terms that I can't repeat due to lack of engine vocabulary. I guess I was due as my `00 Box had 117k miles on it and needed to get in the shop for the IMS upgrade and a new clutch. Oh well, turns out that I needed to make a decision on whether I should rebuild the engine, get a Porsche replacement engine, used engine or buy another car. Thankfully, Pedro at Pedro's Garage referred me to TuneRS in Coral Springs, Florida and they are Porsche specialists that perform the IMS upgrade, and provide rebuilding services for Boxsters and Carrerras for a much better price than going to Porsche for one of their engine swaps. Better yet with all of the beloved Boxsters and Carrerras dropping off of the roads due to expensive engine and tranny issues it is glad to know that there is a way to keep the original engine and tranny numbers in the event our cars ever become worthy of a collector. I doubt it but its always nice to be optimistic I guess. Anyway, I thought I owed it to Mike at TuneRS to share this information with my Boxster brothers and sisters looking for a reputable place in the southeast in the event that anyone needs to have major work done on their cars.
