My question is, do I have to stay with an N rated tyre as recommended by Porsche.
There are a number of tyre manufacturers who have tyres the correct size but only Pirelli, Michellin and Hancook seem to mak an N rated tyre. What does this N rating mean anyway?

N rating is a Porsche approval. There are quite a few non-Porsche cars out there that seem to get by pretty well on non-n rated tires from the factory. Several with even higher performance potential than the Boxster. I have an opinion on what that means.
