Hey i also have a 1999 boxster and the temp seems to stay near the "0" on the 180* marker, If i drive around town for an extended period of time it will crawl forward just a bit, but i've never seen it far enough over for alarm. I bought the car in miami and drove it back 11hours all at once and when i got it home i had to put about 6oz. of distilled water in the reservoir. The light below the temp had come on.
