Thanks.
I just installed a new RMS on my 3.4L transplant with this tool. Most jobs go easier when one has the correct tools.
I also removed the bearing race cover off of my "large, single row bearing" per my conversation with Charles. My engine is a 2006, and he said that one is not replaceable. I had the updated flange already, so I just bought a new o-ring for it.
Oh, I had the oil pump assembly off anyway, so I now have the "Heat Treated 4140 Chromoly Oil Pump Drive" hex in. I figured that any things that I can do on the bench, the better.
I can't wait to get this back in the car. My only delay might be that since I am going to 7.8 from 7.2 (2002 Boxster S), I might have to have the dealer update my 7.8 DME that I bough to match my VIN in order to get it to start. I really don't want to tow the car to the dealer for that.
Any other way to update a computer in that way?
